Picking you up from your place at your most convenient time and driving to mount Etna through several Sicilian towns
We will visit some old lava flows on the way. During the ascent different kinds of vegetation can be noted. We will reach 2.000 meters (7.000 ft.) where we take a short walk together to visit the “Silvestri” craters (1986) and the latest new lava flows and craters from 2001/2002/2003, enjoy the desert moon atmosphere.
The cableway system begins a the height of 1,900 m. above sea level .At 2,500 above sea level. the guided excursions by coach commence, it s possible to go to the crater summits of the volcano from March until November, while acting as skier transport for the remaining months of the year, snow permitting!
It is one of Italy’s most famous tourist resorts; it lays 205mt above the Ionian sea, on the Mount Tauro overlooking two big bays.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the town became one of the most popular winter resorts of the Mediterranean sea and a colony for aristocracy, bankers, artists, writers and intellectuals. D.H. Lawrence stayed here from 1920 to 1922, and in Taormina he composed some of his poems, novels, short stories and essays.
The focal point of our visit will be the Ancient Theatre, built by the Greeks in the 3rd century BC. The theatre was enlarged by the Romans about 600 years later and it is second, in terms of importance and size, only to the one of Syracuse.
From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the town and the Naxos Bay. And mount Etna
The old center of Catania is located on what originaly was the site of the Greeck and Roman city The visit will give you a chance to lear more about this city rebuilt afther the eruption of Mount Etna which took place in 1669 and the earthquake of 1693. A visit will be also made to the Cathedral, the Palazzo dei Chierici, the baroque Church of Sant'Agata alla Badia, a Palazzo Biscari and Ursino Castle. The costline of Catania is known as the Cyclops' riviera or The Lemons riviera, take the chance to visit the fishing villages of Acicastello and Acitrezza

Visiting the Archeological Park, which is our first step, will be like
going back in time. You will feel the atmosphere of ancient times thanks to
important Greek and Roman monuments and stories of some interesting characters
linked with this place. You will have a chance to sit on the steps of the Greek
theatre and to enter the Ear of Dionysius, an impressive large cave made by
ancient Greeks.
Our second step will be Ortigia island, a magic place rich in history, art and
traditions.
They are, very steep cliff, whit curios shapes,caused by the erosion of the river. The walls ara mostly either vertical or fan-shaped curved with a rare and beatiful vegetation growing out of the lava fissures: not to be missed, a visit to the Caste of Calatabiano or to the charming village of Castiglione, in the surronding contryside.

street . You will feel as though you are in an open-air museum, being
surrounded by churches and palaces of significant beauty.
Apart from religious buildings like the cathedral we must not miss seeing the

In the north-east cost of Sicily, the ancient city of Tyndaris was founded on a promontory as a Greek settlement in 396 BC, later occupied by the Romans and destroyd by the Saracens. The archeological site houses some fragments of the city's ramaparts, a Greeck theatre and a modern Sanctuary housing the Byzantine statue of the "BLACK MADONNA"
Piazza Armerina is a pleasent town of the island,surronded by pine and eucalyptus fotests, on the Erei mountains.This place became world famous afther the discovery of a large and luxury Roman Imperial Age villa, located 5 kilometers from the town. The magnificient mosaics in the villa make the town one of the foremost archeological sites in Sicily
We start with Punta Pisciotto (Sampieri) the place where rises the Fornace Penna, a monument of industrial archaeology located right on a golden sand beach. It was set of Montalbano serial in different episodes. Then onto Punta Secca, a sea-side village with an amazing view, place of the house of Montalbano facing the breathtaking beach where he swims every morning in the serial.We will visit then Scicli a UNESCO heritage city, jewel of Baroque architecture. you will have the chance to visit the “Montalbano” police station (admission fee not included),which today is the cabinet of the Mayo of Scicli.
